Goals for 2025
Our focus for this year is on Green Projects:
Getting Tylers Green Greener!
Go Green, Tylers Green!
Green, Greener, Greenest!
- We want to improve our recycling, ensuring we are minimising waste and ensuring we can recycle more paper.
- We want to continue to develop the environmental area, making it a proper outdoor classroom that we use more regularly and continue to monitor and protect wildlife within it.
- We want to invest in new classroom screens which are more environmentally friendly and donate our current ones to local schools that may not have them.
- Looking into generating our own power could save the planet and some money. We want to raise money for solar panels which may benefit future students.
These are some other priorities raised through class meetings:
- Introducing dividers between urinals in boys' toilets.
- Having whole-school-themed mufti events to support charities.
- Encouraging the development of more Action Teams.
- Encouraging safer parking outside the school.
- Having more playground Zumba.
- Investing in new resources for break time (equipment, bricks etc).
UPDATE
Following our survey of paper recycling in school, we worked out the size of each bin we should invest in for each classroom. We researched different styles online, and working closely with ECO Club, we selected our new bins. School Council and Eco Club will now be responsible for educating their classes on how to use them effectively and for emptying them with Mr Hazell on a weekly basis.
