Year 4

Scooter Coaching

Year 4 children had the fantastic opportunity to be coached by World Champion scooter rider, Terry Price. His passion and knowledge was very impressive, but we were more impressed by the skills the children were able to develop. For some of them, it was their first time ever riding a scooter, but everyone walked away being able to do incredible tricks and demonstrate their newly learnt skills.

VR Day

This year, the children explored ancient Egypt through virtual reality. What a great chance it was to have a look at modern day Egypt as well as Ancient Egyptian sites, including inside of the real life tomb of Nefertari! We were so impressed that they were able to identify some key ancient Egyptian artefacts and link their knowledge from History and Geography lessons.

Ancient Egyptian Day

We had an absolutely brilliant ancient Egyptian Day that was paid for by the TGMS REACH fund. Our workshop provider was so knowledgeable and answered a wide variety of questions the children were able to come up with that linked to our topic. They were able to take part in activities such as Hieroglyphic writing on Papyrus, Egyptian board games like senet and mancala, creating their own clay amulets and an artefact investigation.

Drama

From performance poetry in English to dramatic historical re-enactments, our curriculum is bursting with opportunities for creative outputs! Here are a small selection of our 'performances' so far this year.
